I have some experience in using Captivate 3 and Presenter 7 software. I have used Captivate 3 in my lessons. I recently completed a PD workshop on the basics of Moodle.

2. Demonstrate experience to mentor/facilitate small groups

I will be mentoring our new teacher in all aspects of his teaching from administrative duties to classroom/workshop activities. I currently teach a group of 13 apprentices.

3. Ability to learn new technologies and apply to a range settings

I have implemented the use of the laptop/projector into the classroom for theory lessons. I not only use it to play instructional DVD’s on the big screen, but also for Powerpoint slideshows, Photo Story 3 and Captivate 3 for the purpose of revision (before a test). I also have plans to update our workshop videos using the latest video editing software called Adobe Premiere Elements 7. I have the latest photo editing software Photoshop Elements 7 installed on the work computer. This is used to edit photos taken from the workshop that are then used in Photo Story 3.

4. Communicate at all levels and be self directed

I have attended numerous meetings with my Head Teacher and senior staff with regards to my current work duties. I have been given the role of looking after the workshop equipment and making sure it’s operating well at all times. I have also taken up the task of rewriting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 test papers.
